Critics Say ‘Dark Knight’ is Strong Finale

Critics, including two from Suddenlink-served communities, had plenty good to say about “The Dark Knight Rises.”

This summer, Abilene Reporter-News film reviewer Aaron Wilder called the final chapter of the Dark Night trilogy “a powerful, resounding roar.”

Lubbock Avalanche-Journal entertainment editor William Kerns also gave the film high praise, writing that “(Director Christopher) Nolan delivers so many crucial scenes and references that a second viewing is almost mandatory.”

“The Dark Night Rises” comes to Suddenlink Video on Demand tomorrow, Dec. 4.

‘Men in Black 3’ Called Best of Trilogy

Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert called “Men in Black 3” the best of the three “Men in Black” sci-fi comedies, noting its “ingenious plot, bizarre monsters and audacious cliff-hanging.”

In Suddenlink-served Lubbock, Texas, Lubbock Avalanche-Journal critic William Kerns agreed, calling it “a warm and often very funny story, with a twist no one should see coming.”

Catch “Men in Black 3” when it arrives at Suddenlink Video on Demand this Friday.
