Plunge Watching: A New Way to View

With TV series available on a variety of platforms, many viewers now enjoy watching back-to-back episodes in one sitting. Washington Post entertainment writer Marc Silver, however, is betting he’s not alone in lacking time for hours-long binge-watching.

“If there’s a show you’d like to sample, take the plunge and tune in to the latest episode,” Silver suggests in his latest column.  “Sure, you may be confused at times. But you’ll probably be able to figure out what’s going on.”

Where do you stand on the binge-watching debate?

Critics at Odds Over Two New MTV Series

Two new series debut tonight on MTV.

Half-hour dinner-with-mom-and-talk show, “The Show with Vinny,” starring Vinny Guadagnino of “Jersey Shore” fame, begins at 9 p.m. (CT).  Immediately following is the mocumentary “Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous,” starring plucked-from-You Tube comedian Bo Burnham.

Boston Herald critic Mark Perigard praises “Zach” and pans “Vinny.” Washington Post critic Hank Stuever takes the opposite view, preferring “Vinny” to “Zach.”

MTV is available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
