Two California Communities Get TiVo Stream

Today we announced the availability of TiVo® Stream service to Auburn and Truckee, Calif.  TiVo Stream allows customers to stream TV shows around the house wirelessly on iPod Touch, iPads and iPhones, and also transfer DVR-recorded programs to the same mobile devices for later viewing on the go.

Ability to transfer some programs to TiVo Stream devices may be prohibited by the program owners. Android devices and access to video-on-demand content will be added later.

Since October 2012, TiVo Stream has been launched in more than 60 Suddenlink communities in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina and Texas. We expect to further expand the availability of TiVo Stream to additional markets in the near future.

Any-Room DVR Offered in Auburn, Truckee, Calif.

Beginning today, Auburn and Truckee, Calif., customers with TiVo® Premiere DVRs from Suddenlink will be able to begin watching a program in one room and continue it in another, as well as watch recordings on any TV connected to a TiVo Premiere device

New options are the result of software enhancements. For example, Suddenlink customers with three TiVo Premiere DVRs can record up to six shows at the same time, watch recordings on any TV, start watching in one room and resume in another, and have up to 600 hours of recording space.

The TiVo Premiere, first offered by the company last year, combines Suddenlink’s service with TiVo’s best-in-class user interface, to provide access to thousands of hours of entertainment choices, including content from Suddenlink’s video-on-demand (VOD) library and the Web, all accessible through TiVo’s advanced search and discovery features. Suddenlink is the only multichannel TV service provider in the communities to offer TiVo Premiere.

Earlier this month, any-room DVR service was introduced to Suddenlink customers in North Carolina, West Texas, and Clovis, N.M. We will continue to announce launches of this service as they are confirmed.

Video on Demand Launched in Truckee, Calif.

New entertainment choices are available today for Suddenlink customers in Truckee, Calif., with the launch of Video on Demand (VOD) service.

Truckee customers with digital receivers can now access VOD through Channel 1. There they will find thousands of titles — including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows — many of them in high-definition (HD) format and several in three-dimensional (3D) format. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

The rollout of VOD in Truckee is part of Project Imagine. Suddenlink will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services in other communities as they are confirmed.
