Monster Week Returns to Animal Planet

Discovery Monster Week 02Animal Planet’s Monster Week is back with an eight day marathon of monsters lurking below water and creeping above land. Scheduled programming explores killer sharks, man-eating zombie cats, river monsters and other mysterious creatures, both real and imagined.

Tonight’s lineup kicks off at 9 (CT) with “Eaten Alive: Killers on the Loose.” One man is attacked at an African chimp sanctuary by an escaped alpha male, and an Idaho Zoo fundraiser takes a bloody turn when a Siberian tiger breaks free.

Animal Planet is available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

Discovery’s ‘#BikerLive’ Premieres Tonight


Discovery Channel’s newest series debuts at 9 p.m. CT. “#BikerLive” will provide talented motorcycle craftsmen the opportunity to showcase their best custom creations, and viewers a real look inside the world of the country’s best bike builders. Each episode follows crews from three motorcycle garages that have five weeks and $15,000 to build their dream bikes. Viewers will vote live via Twitter to crown the best bike builders.
Discovery Channel is available to all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

California Communities Get MAX 50.0 Service

Beginning yesterday, residential customers in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes, Calif., can get Suddenlink High-Speed Internet 50.0 service. With a download speed up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), it is the fastest residential Internet service offered in this community.

Since spring of 2010, 50.0 service has been made available to residential customers in the following Suddenlink-served communities:

  • Arizona: Bullhead City, Flagstaff, Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Parker, Payson, Sedona
  • Arkansas: Arkadelphia, Batesville, Clarksville, Dardanelle, El Dorado, Jonesboro, Lamar, London, Malvern, Morrilton, Perla, Pocahontas, Pottsville, Rockport, Russellville
  • California: Auburn, Humboldt County, Truckee
  • Louisiana: Alexandria, Bossier City (including Barksdale Air Force Base), Haughton, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Pineville, Sulphur
  • Mississippi: Greenville
  • Missouri: Branson, Nixa, St. Joseph
  • North Carolina: Enfield, Halifax County, Kinston, New Bern, Scotland Neck, Tarboro
