Cable Nets Showered With Emmy Nominations

Cable networks once again dominated the Primetime Emmy Awards nominations. HBO remains the most nominated network, having earned 99 total nods. “Game of Thrones” led the way with 19 nominations. FX received 45 nods, including 18 for miniseries “Fargo.”

Additional cable programs receiving multiple nominations were “American Horror Story: Coven” on FX (17), “The Normal Heart” on HBO (16), “Breaking Bad” on AMC (16) and “True Detective” on HBO (12).

Tonight on Nick: Kids Dish on Siblings

A new episode of “Nick News with Linda Ellerbee” gives kids a chance to tattle on their brothers and sisters.  “If I Were an Only Child:  The Top Ten Annoying Things My Siblings Do” premieres tonight on Nickelodeon (7 p.m. CT).

Expect some celebrities, too, including Nolan Gould of “Modern Family” and comedian Seth Meyers confessing how they irritate their own siblings.

New on Suddenlink VOD: ‘New Year’s Eve’

Romantic comedy “New Year’s Eve” is now available through Suddenlink Video on Demand.

Director Garry Marshall assembles an ensemble cast for a film that celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts. It is told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City on New Year’s Eve. Among the cast members are Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Chris (Ludacris) Bridges, Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Katherine Heigl, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ryan Seacrest, Hilary Swank and Sofia Vergara.
