After a 15-year run, “American Idol” will conclude this evening on FOX. The two-hour finale, featuring returning contestants and judges, will begin at 7 p.m. CT.

Tonight’s program will feature group numbers and spotlight performances, before the last winner of “American Idol” is announced. Fans decide if tonight’s victory will go to contender La’Porsha Renae or Trent Harmon.

FX and Executive Producer Ryan Murphy are expanding the “American Horror Story” franchise tonight. Companion series “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” will premiere at 9 p.m. CT.

The anthology series will explore the chaotic court case of one of America’s most famous criminals. Cuba Gooding, Jr., John Travolta, Sarah Paulson, and David Schwimmer star.

‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ Premieres on Halloween

Starz will air a new original series tomorrow, Oct. 31, based on the cult classic “Evil Dead” franchise. “Ash vs Evil Dead” will premiere at 8 p.m. CT, just in time for Halloween.

After 30 years of avoiding responsibility, Ash and company return to fight a plague of monsters, known as “deadites,” that threaten mankind once again. Bruce Campbell, star of the original films, will lead the comedic horror series alongside Jill Marie Jones and Dana DeLorenzo.

‘Supergirl’ Takes Flight on CBS

One of the greatest female superheroes comes to CBS tonight in an action-packed new series. “Supergirl” will premiere at 7:30 p.m. CT.

After years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, Superman’s cousin decides to embrace her abilities and become the hero she was always meant to be. Melissa Benoist stars as the popular DC Comics character.

‘Hellevator’ Premieres on GSN Tonight

A terrifying new series will premiere on the Game Show Network tonight, just in time for Halloween. “Hellevator,” from the minds that created the “Paranormal Activity” franchise, will air at 7 p.m. CT.

Each episode of the game show will feature a group of friends that dares to ride a haunted elevator into the depths of an abandoned warehouse. To earn prize money, each individual must conquer a frightening challenge before the elevator leaves without them.

CBS Bids Farewell to ‘CSI’

After a 15-year run, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” will conclude Sunday, Sept. 27. The series will end with a two-hour reunion finale, 8 p.m. CT. Many of the show’s past stars, including Marg Helgenberger and William Peterson, will return for the final program.

Set in Las Vegas, “CSI” follows forensic investigators who solve criminal cases in a lab. The program resulted in three spin-offs, including “CSI: Cyber,” which will continue to air.

New Series Launches on the Weather Channel

Yesterday marked the premiere of “Weather Underground,” a live, interactive show that will continue to air weekdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. CT. Meteorologist and storm tracker Mike Bettes hosts the program with severe weather specialist Sarah Dillingham.

Each evening, the show will provide insights into the science behind forecasting, all within a casual setting. Fans will be able to submit questions, report current weather conditions and contribute to the program with social media.

‘The Notebook’ TV Series in the Works

The CW announced last week that it is teaming with New York Times best-selling author Nicholas Sparks to reboot “The Notebook” as a television series. The romantic novel follows the journey of two beloved characters as they build their lives together.

“The Notebook” garnered a large fan base after it was adapted as a film in 2004 . A TV remake, however, might have several changes. “I don’t believe we’re going to see the older couple,” said CW president Mark Pedowitz. “But again, things change and we’re just now in the development stage.”

UP Premieres First Scripted Series

Tonight, UP will premiere “Ties that Bind,” an original drama, and the network’s first scripted series. The first episode will air at 8 p.m. CT.

Kelli Williams stars as Allison McLean, a tough and experienced police detective in suburban Seattle. When she is forced to arrest her brother for aggravated assault, his two teenage children are left in her care. Jonathan Scarfe and Dion Johnstone also star.

Tonight, NBC will air the two-hour premiere of original series “Aquarius,” starring David Duchovny, at 8 p.m. CT. The entire series will be available starting tomorrow, May 29, on the NBC website. Suddenlink customers can also watch with Suddenlink2GO.

Duchovny stars as Sam Hodiak, a 1960s LAPD homicide detective. When he is charged with the case of a missing teen, Hodiak goes undercover to track Charles Manson and his followers before their infamous murder spree.
