Three Seasonal Specials Air this Evening

Tonight, TV viewers have an even wider variety of choices than usual, as three specials are scheduled to premiere. Networks will feature familiar faces and holiday spirit in an evening packed with entertainment.

At 7 p.m. CT, “Toy Story at 20: To Infinity and Beyond” will air on ABC. Producers, designers, and voice actors will celebrate the animated favorite’s anniversary, and explore Pixar’s early years in digital film.

Viewers can celebrate the season with “Michael Bublé’s Christmas in Hollywood” at 7 p.m. on NBC. The one-hour musical program will feature performances from Celine Dion and Tori Kelly, in addition to appearances by Jay Leno, Eva Longoria, and Blake Shelton.

Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” inspired by the musician’s remarkable upbringing, will follow on NBC at 8 p.m. The movie special is set in the Tennessee Great Smoky Mountains in 1955, and explores Parton’s family-oriented and faith-based story.

This month’s children’s movie collection on Suddenlink On Demand features classic Disney Pixar hits. The lineup features over a dozen films, including “Inside Out,” “Brave,” “Ratatouille,” “Up,” “Finding Nemo,” and more. These movies will be available through Dec. 1.

Three New Movies Available On Demand

Animated family film “Inside Out,” comedic adventure “Vacation,” and drama “The End of the Tour” are now available through Suddenlink On Demand.

After a young girl is uprooted from her Midwest life in “Inside Out,” the emotions inside her head conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black, and Mindy Kaling lend their voice talents.

Rusty Griswold, from “National Lampoon’s Vacation,” returns in “Vacation” for another ill-fated trip to Walley World. Ed Helms and Christina Applegate star.

“The End of the Tour” follows a journalist as he spends five days on the road interviewing renowned and reclusive novelist David Foster Wallace. Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel star.

‘Toy Story’ Halloween Special Bows on ABC

 

Wednesday, Oct. 16, a favorite Pixar legacy will continue when “Toy Story of Terror!” debuts on ABC (7 p.m. CT). The Halloween-themed TV special catches up with a group of animated playthings trying to survive the night in a creepy hotel, presumably six months after their adventures in 2010’s “Toy Story 3.”  The special will later broadcast several times throughout the month on Disney affiliate channels ABC Family and Disney XD.
