Rocky Mount, NC, Upgrade Project Completed

Rocky Mount, N.C., officials joined top Suddenlink executives yesterday at the company’s Rocky Mount office to celebrate the completion of an eight-month, multimillion-dollar network upgrade project for the City of Rocky Mount and Nash and Edgecombe Counties.

Attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony marking completion of the project were Suddenlink Chief Technology Officer Terry Cordova, Rocky Mount Chamber of Commerce Chairman Jeffrey Batts, Suddenlink Chairman and CEO Jerry Kent, Rocky Mount Mayor David Combs, Suddenlink Chief Financial Officer Mary Meduski, and Senior Vice President of Suddenlink Regional Operations Phil Ahlschlager.

The ceremony was covered by The Rocky Mount Telegram and television stations WITN and WNCT.

The entire project involved building and upgrading nearly 1,500 miles of cable and fiber-optic lines across Suddenlink’s North Carolina operations, including approximately 650 miles in the Rocky Mount area. As a result of the upgrade, residents now have an expanded array of Suddenlink services from which to choose, such as video on demand (VOD), more high-definition (HD) TV channels, and faster Internet speeds.

These enhancements are part of Project Imagine. Suddenlink will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services in other communities as they are confirmed.
