On Demand Films Win Big at the Oscars

Several movies honored at last night’s Academy Awards are now available, or will soon be available, through Suddenlink On Demand.

Taking home the Best Picture award was “Birdman,” which also earned Best Directing, Best Cinematography and Best Original Screenplay. Eddie Redmayne received the Best Actor award for his role in “The Theory of Everything.” Watch both now, On Demand.

J.K. Simmons received Best Supporting Actor for his performance in “Whiplash,” which also earned Best Film Editing and Sound Mixing. “Big Hero 6” took the award for Best Animated Film. Both will be available tomorrow, Feb. 24, On Demand.

New On Demand: ‘The Smurfs 2’

 

Animated family film “The Smurfs 2” is now available through Suddenlink On Demand, 28 days before Netflix and Redbox.

Your favorite blue characters are back, teaming with human friends to rescue Smurfette (Katie Perry) from Gargamel (Hank Azaria).  Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays also are among the many stars reprising their roles from the original movie.
