Two Texas Towns Get Faster Internet Service

Last Thursday, we increased the download speeds of our high-speed Internet services in Brenham and Navasota, Texas. Services with download speeds of 1.5, 10 and 20 Megabits per second (Mbps) were increased to 3, 15 and 30 Mbps, respectively.

Current customers were upgraded to the new speeds automatically, at no added charge.

Four More Communities Get Phone Service

While we have competitive phone service deployed to the overwhelming majority of our service areas, we continue working to expand it. The latest communities to receive this service are Paola, Kan.; Weatherford, Okla.; and Daingerfield and Navasota, Texas.

Suddenlink Home Phone offers unlimited local and domestic long-distance calls, plus the most popular calling features – including caller ID, call waiting, 3-way calling, anonymous call rejection and call forwarding. Voice mail and international calls are also available at competitive rates. Importantly, Suddenlink Home Phone provides automatic access to the FCC-mandated Enhanced 911 system and is compatible with most modern alarm monitoring equipment.

Today, we completed the transition to an all-digital TV lineup in Navasota, Texas, providing customers with superior picture and sound quality. We also introduced Video on Demand (VOD)  service.

After the conversion was completed, we introduced a host of new high-definition (HD) channels to the TV lineup. Among them are: broadcast stations KPRC HD (NBC), KRIV HD (FOX), KTMD HD (Telemundo), KUHT HD (PBS),  KHOU HD (CBS) and KTRK HD (ABC), as well as USA HD, CNN HD, TNT HD, Fox Sports Houston HD, ESPN HD, HGTV HD, Discovery Channel HD, FX HD, TBS HD, AMC HD, ABC Family HD, Disney HD, Animal Planet HD, Nickelodeon HD, History HD and CMT HD.

Also, Navasota customers who have Suddenlink digital receivers can enjoy VOD service, available on Channel 1. VOD features thousands of viewing choices, many of them in high-definition (HD) format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

These service enhancements are part of Project Imagine. We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services as they are confirmed.
