Live Video Streams of Tourney Set Record


Live video streams of the NCAA basketball tournament set records during the first week of play, Multichannel News reported. Through the action Sunday, the games generated 36.6 million live video streams across online and mobile (tablets and smartphones), double the 18.3 million for the entire tournament last year.

Suddenlink CFO Earns ‘Wonder Women’ Honor

Suddenlink Chief Financial Officer Mary Meduski was named to the 2012 class of “Wonder Women” cable executives by trade publication Multichannel News. She was one of 12 “dynamic, decision-making executives” chosen by the magazine’s editors based on nominations they received. The group will be honored at a luncheon in New York City on March 13.

This is the 14th class of “Wonder Women.” Suddenlink Chief Programming Officer Patty McCaskill was a member of the 2009 class.

Suddenlink CEO Honored by Trade Magazine

Suddenlink chairman and CEO Jerry Kent was named 2011 Executive of the Year (subscription required) by industry trade publication Multichannel News. In chronicling Kent’s 30-year career in the industry and Suddenlink’s rise to the seventh-largest cable operator in the country, the magazine noted: “Kent has forged and maintained strong relationships with other companies and executives in the industry, grown the business and maintained a stellar reputation in the cable community.”
