Weather Channel Presents ‘Hurricane Hunters’

Documentary series “Hurricane Hunters” premieres tonight on The Weather Channel. It follows members of the Air Force Reserve Squadron in Biloxi, Miss., as they fly planes into eyes of hurricanes to gather key meteorological data necessary to determine the storm’s path and strength. For the series, the crew flew into every major hurricane and tropical storm of the 2011 season, including Hurricane Irene.

The Weather Channel is available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

Shows Worth Watching This Summer

There are plenty of reasons to watch TV this summer, writes The Wrap’s Kimberly Potts. Among the 56 shows that she details are TNT’s new “Dallas” series, the return of AMC drama “Breaking Bad,” the third season of A&E’s “Storage Wars,” and ABC Family’s new original drama series “Bunheads.” She also recommends summer fare from MTV (“MTV Movie Awards”), The Weather Channel (“Hurricane Hunters”), TLC (“Craft Wars”), FX (“Anger Management”), USA (“Suits”) and Discovery Channel (“Shark Week”).

The networks mentioned above are available to all or virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.
