Fieri Returns to Humboldt for ‘Triple D’ Filming

It’s a homecoming for Food Network’s Guy Fieri as he returns to Suddenlink-served Humboldt County, Calif., to film an episode of “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” Fieri began his culinary career in Ferndale, taking to the streets at age 10 to pedal his “Awesome Pretzels.”  The  chef, restaurateur, and TV celebrity now lives in Santa Rosa, Sonoma County.

According to the North Coast Journal, Fieri said he’ll visit eight restaurants while in Humboldt, but would not reveal the lucky locations. His crew has so far been spotted at an East Coast-style pizza joint, Paul’s Live from New York, in Eureka.

All-Night BBQ on Food Network

Tonight, Food Network is dedicating a two-hour primetime block to a great American backyard pastime.  Beginning at 7 p.m. CT, Guy Fieri visits purveyors of barbecue across the country (including BBQ Shack in Suddenlink-served Paola, Kan.) in three classic, back-to-back “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” episodes.

Then on “Mystery Diners,” the owner of Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in Texas sends the crew to a competing restaurant to find out if they’ve stolen his secret family recipe.
