MAX 107.0 Rolls Out in Two Texas Communities

Beginning yesterday, Texas residential customers in Gladewater and Henderson can get our High-Speed Internet MAX 107.0 service. MAX 107.0 features a download speed up to 107 megabits per second (Mbps) and an upload speed up to 5 Mbps, the fastest residential service in these communities.

Since spring of 2010, MAX 107.0 has been made available to residential customers in the following Suddenlink-served communities:

  • Arkansas: Batesville, El Dorado, Hot Springs Village, Jonesboro, Mountain Home, Pocahontas and Russellville
  • Louisiana: Alexandria, Bossier City (including Barksdale Air Force Base), Grambling, Haughton, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Ruston and Sulphur
  • Mississippi: Greenwood
  • Missouri: Branson, Nixa, Ozark, St. Joseph
  • North Carolina: Chocowinity, Greenville, Kinston, LaGrange, Rocky Mount, Walnut Creek, Washington, Washington Park, and other parts of Beaufort, Lenoir, and Wayne Counties
  • Oklahoma: Seminole, Wewoka
  • Texas: Abilene, Amarillo, Bryan-College Station, Conroe, Georgetown, Jarrell, Pflugerville, Lake Conroe, Leander, Lufkin, Lubbock, Midland, Post, San Angelo, Shallowater, Tulia, Tyler, Whitehouse, Wolfforth
  • West Virginia: the majority of Boone, Cabell, Gallia, Jackson, Kanawha, Mason, Meigs (Ohio), Pleasants, Putnam, Washington, Wetzel, Wirt, and Wood counties

TiVo Premiere Launched in Gladewater, Texas

Today, Suddenlink launched the TiVo® Premiere DVR in Gladewater, Texas. TiVo Premiere combines Suddenlink’s service with TiVo’s best-in-class user interface to offer access to thousands of hours of entertainment choices, including content from Suddenlink’s video-on-demand library and the Web, all accessible through TiVo’s advanced search and discovery features.

Gladewater customers with multiple TiVo Premiere DVRs from Suddenlink will also be able to start watching a recorded program in one room and continue it in another. For example, Suddenlink customers with three TiVo Premiere DVRs can record up to six shows at the same time, watch recordings on any TV, start watching in one room and resume in another, and have up to 600 hours of recording space.

Suddenlink is the only multichannel TV service provider in the community to offer TiVo Premiere DVR.

Since late 2010, the device has been launched in more than 40 Suddenlink communities in Arkansas, California, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, and West Virginia. Suddenlink plans to expand the availability of the device to additional markets throughout 2012.

Eight Texas Communities Get More HD Channels

Yesterday, Suddenlink launched more high-definition (HD) TV channels in Gladewater, Henderson, Jacksonville, Lufkin, Mount Pleasant/Mount Vernon, Nacogdoches, Sulphur Springs and Winnsboro, Texas. The new HD channels include: BBC America HD, Fuel HD, GSN HD, Investigation Discovery HD, OWN HD, Planet Green HD, The Hub HD, QVC HD, HSN HD, The Movie Channel HD and HBO Latino HD.

HDTV offers a widescreen format, similar to a movie theater, with distinctly sharper images and better sound quality than standard TV.

The noted channel additions are part of Project Imagine. We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services as they are confirmed.

MAX 50.0 Service Launched in Gladewater

Starting today, residential customers in Gladewater, Texas, can get Suddenlink’s High Speed Internet MAX 50.0 service. With download speeds of up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), it is the fastest residential Internet service offered in Gladewater.

Since spring of 2010, MAX 50.0 service has been made available to residential customers in 30 communities served by Suddenlink.

Suddenlink also completed a project to convert Gladewater to an all-digital TV lineup. Digital TV offers superior picture and sound quality. Since April, Gladewater customers have been convereted to all-digital viewing on a neighborhood-by-neighborhood basis. Along the way, a host of new high-definition (HD) channels were added to the lineup, and even more HD channels were added this week, including: Disney XD HD, History International HD, Biography Channel HD, Oxygen HD, WE tv HD, Fuse HD, Fox Soccer Channel HD, Independent Film Channel HD, HBO2 HD, HBO Comedy HD and Starz Comedy HD East.

These service enhancements are part of Project Imagine, Suddenlink’s ongoing investment program. We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services as they are confirmed.

Medical Programs on Suddenlink VOD in East Texas

The East Texas Medical Center (ETMC) in Tyler, Texas, now offers medical information from physicians and specialists through Suddenlink’s Video on Demand (VOD) service. In addition to Tyler, free access to these VOD programs is available to Suddenlink customers in the following East Texas communities: Athens, Clarksville, Gladewater, Grand Saline, Henderson, Hideaway, Jacksonville, Lindale, Lufkin, Mineola, Mount Pleasant, Mount Vernon, Nacogdoches, Paris, Pittsburg, Quitman, Sulphur Springs, Tyler, White Oak, Whitehouse and Winnsboro.

Current content includes presentations by physicians in ETMC’s Orthopedic and Neurological Institutes. New topics will be added regularly.

To access ETMC’s video library, Suddenlink customers in the listed communities can enter Channel 997 on their remote controls. A Suddenlink digital receiver is required to access the VOD menu.
