Oklahoma, Texas Communities Get 50 Mbps Service

Beginning this week, residential customers in the following communities can get Suddenlink High-Speed Internet 50.0 service: Alva, Enid, Muskogee and Wagoner, Okla., and Athens, Clarksville, Gainesville, Henderson, Jacksonville, Lufkin, Mount Pleasant, Mount Vernon, Paris, Pittsburg, Victoria, Whitesboro and Winfield, Texas.With a download speed up to 50 Megabits per second (Mbps), it is the fastest residential Internet service offered in these communities.

We’ve also added High-Speed Internet 50.0 service in Georgetown, Jarrell, Leander, Pflugerville and Tyler, Texas. The new service adds another choice to our four existing services in these towns, including High-Speed Internet MAX 107.0, featuring a download speed up to 107 Mbps. MAX 107.0 is the fastest residential Internet service in these communities.

Since spring of 2010, MAX 50.0 service has been made available to residential customers in the following Suddenlink-served communities:

  • Arizona: Bullhead City, Kingman, Lake Havasu City, Parker, Payson
  • Arkansas: Arkadelphia, Batesville, Clarksville, Dardanelle, El Dorado, Jonesboro, Lamar, London, Malvern, Morrilton, Perla, Pocahontas, Pottsville, Rockport, Russellville
  • California: Auburn, Humboldt County, Truckee
  • Louisiana: Alexandria, Bossier City (including Barksdale Air Force Base), Haughton, Lake Charles, Natchitoches, Pineville, Sulphur

  • Missouri: Branson, Nixa, St. Joseph
  • North Carolina: Enfield, Halifax County, Kinston, New Bern, Scotland Neck, Tarboro

HD Channels Added in Gainesville, Whitesboro

Today, we introduced more than a dozen new high-definition (HD) TV channels in Gainesville and Whitesboro, Texas. The new channels include: Biography Channel HD, Disney XD HD, ESPNews HD, Fuse HD, H2 HD, NFL Network HD, NFL RedZone HD, The Sportsman Channel HD, WE tv HD, Independent Film Channel HD, Investigation Discovery HD, OWN HD, The Hub HD, HBO Latino HD, The Movie Channel HD and BBC America HD.

HDTV offers a widescreen format, similar to a movie theater, with distinctly sharper images and better sound quality than standard TV.

Two More Texas Communities Get VOD

Beginning today, Suddenlink customers in Gainesville and Whitesboro, Texas, who have Suddenlink digital receivers, can enjoy Video on Demand (VOD) service, available on Channel 1.

VOD features thousands of viewing choices, many of them in high-definition (HD) format, including movies, sports, news, music and popular cable-network shows. More than a third of the Suddenlink VOD library is free. The rest is available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription. Viewers can order titles via remote control at any time.

Also today, we completed an upgrade to an all-digital TV lineup in Gainesville and Whitesboro. Digital TV offers superior picture and sound quality.

These service enhancements are part of Project Imagine. Suddenlink will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services in other communities as they are confirmed.
