TV One to Air ‘Empire’ Marathon

Need to catch up on the second season of “Empire”? TV One will air a marathon Saturday, May 14. The lineup will include each consecutive episode, leading up to the finale on FOX on Wednesday, May 18, at 8 p.m. CT.

Terrence Howard stars in the musical drama as the head of a multi-million dollar company. He must decide who will take over his throne when he dies: his ex-wife or one of his three sons. Taraji P. Henson, Bryshere Y. Gray, Trai Byers, and Jussie Smollett also star.

FOX Bids Farewell to ‘American Idol’

After a 15-year run, “American Idol” will conclude this evening on FOX. The two-hour finale, featuring returning contestants and judges, will begin at 7 p.m. CT.

Tonight’s program will feature group numbers and spotlight performances, before the last winner of “American Idol” is announced. Fans decide if tonight’s victory will go to contender La’Porsha Renae or Trent Harmon.

While the reality competition’s popularity has dropped in recent years, it made a major impact during its run. The Washington Post reviews how “American Idol” changed pop culture forever.

CBS Bids Farewell to ‘CSI’

After a 15-year run, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” will conclude Sunday, Sept. 27. The series will end with a two-hour reunion finale, 8 p.m. CT. Many of the show’s past stars, including Marg Helgenberger and William Peterson, will return for the final program.

Set in Las Vegas, “CSI” follows forensic investigators who solve criminal cases in a lab. The program resulted in three spin-offs, including “CSI: Cyber,” which will continue to air.

‘Wayward Pines’ Season Finale Airs Tonight

On tonight’s new episode of “Wayward Pines,” season one will come to a close with deadly repercussions when the town’s electricity is turned off. Ethan (Matt Dillon) will attempt to keep the local citizens out of harm’s way, but the terror that awaits might be out of his control.

NBC Bids Farewell to ‘Parks and Rec’

After 6 years and seven seasons, “Parks and Recreation” will conclude tonight.  The series, starring Amy Poehler as city employee Leslie Knope, will air a special one-hour finale.

Bid farewell to the city of Pawnee at 9 CT, following the season premiere of The Voice on NBC.
