Plenty of College Hoops Tonight on Cable

College basketball fans may want to keep their remotes in hand to catch all the action tonight.

Starting at 6 p.m. (CT), hoops coverage will be available on four cable networks. ESPN offers back-to-back action with Kentucky at Mississippi, followed by Ohio at Indiana. Texas will host Iowa State on ESPN2. Fox Sports 1 (FS1) will present another doubleheader, beginning with Villanova at Providence, and then Butler at St. John’s. On NBC Sports (NBCS), George Washington plays at Richmond.

 

Plenty of College, Pro Hoops Tonight

Basketball fans may want to keep their remotes handy tonight.

TNT offers a full night of NBA action with Miami Heat v. New York Knicks at 7 p.m. CT, followed by Oklahoma City Thunder v. Denver Nuggets at 9:30.

College coverage includes Memphis at Louisville followed by Arizona at UCLA (ESPN, starting at 6 p.m.). At the same time, ESPN2 will cover Auburn at Mississippi followed by Michigan at Nebraska. Also starting at 6, Fox Sports 1 (FS1) is serving up three back-to-back matches, with DePaul at Butler, Marquette at Xavier and California at Oregon.

ESPN2 Airing Bassmaster Classic This Weekend

Most fishing fans know who won the 2013 world championship of bass fishing held last weekend on Tulsa, Okla.’s Grand Lake O’ the Cherokees, but this weekend they’ll get to see all the action on ESPN2. Five hours of Bassmaster Classic coverage begins tomorrow (8 a.m. CT) with the first day’s competition. Coverage will conclude Sunday (9 p.m. CT) with four hours of day two action and the crowning of the champion.

ESPN Has NBA, ESPN2 Has College Hoops Tonight

Basketball fans may want to find a comfy seat and the remote. Tonight at 7 p.m. CT, you can flip between NBA action on ESPN with the Chicago Bulls at the Miami Heat and college hoops on ESPN2 with Memphis at Tennessee. At 9:30, stay right where you are for a Los Angeles showdown, as the Clippers host the Lakers on ESPN.

ESPN Has Little League World Series Covered

ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC are teaming to present all 32 games of the 2012 Little League World Series from Williamsport, Pa., beginning tomorrow with four games and concluding with the championship game Aug. 26. ESPN and ESPN2 will present 27 of the games, with ABC handling the finals. Broadband service ESPN3.com will simulcast all of the games.

Suddenlink Internet customers can access ESPN3.com for no charge from any computer connected to Suddenlink Internet service. They can also access ESPN3.com from the Suddenlink.net home page.

ESPN, ESPN2 Covering MLB’s Opening Week

To usher in the Major League Baseball season, ESPN and ESPN2 will feature five games from opening week. It starts tomorrow night (7 p.m. ET) on ESPN with the Miami Marlins hosting the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals. That’s followed by two days of doubleheaders on ESPN2. The Boston Red Sox visit the Detroit Tigers on Thursday, April 5 (1 p.m. ET), followed by the Marlins playing the Cincinnati Reds (4 p.m. ET). On Friday, April 6, the San Francisco Giants visit Arizona to play the Diamondbacks (7 p.m. ET), while the Anaheim Angels host the Kansas City Royals in the nightcap (10 p.m. ET).

On Sunday, April 8, ESPN begins its regular “Sunday Night Baseball” schedule, with the Texas Rangers hosting the Chicago White Sox (8 p.m. ET).
