Discovery Invites Kids to Join Science Challenge

The 2016 Young Scientist Challenge invites students in grades 5-8 to create a one-to two-minute video describing a new, innovative solution that could solve an everyday problem. Ten national finalists will earn a summer mentorship to bring their innovative ideas to life. The highest scoring applicant will be named America’s Top Young Scientist and receive a prize package that includes $25,000, a trip to attend a Discovery show taping, and other prizes.

Discovery, 3M Invite Kids to Join Science Challenge

The 2013 Discovery Education 3M Young Scientist Challenge invites students in grades 5-8 to create a one- to two-minute video showcasing their great idea to solve a real-world problem. Ten national finalists will have the opportunity to work directly with a 3M scientist in an exclusive summer mentorship program and bring their innovative ideas to life. One lucky student will be named America’s Top Young Scientist and receive a prize package that includes $25,000, a trip with Discovery Student Adventures, and other prizes.
