Cable Nets to Debut Midseason Series


Cable networks are preparing to premiere several new series this year. New programming will premiere on several networks, including Animal Planet, FXX and AMC.

Tomorrow, Animal Planet will debut “Alaska: Battle on the Bay” at 9 p.m. CT, which follows a team of fisherman as they take on a particularly challenging salmon season.

On Jan. 14, “Man Seeking Woman” will premiere on FXX at 9:30 p.m. CT, a comedy based on Simon Rich’s novel “The Last Girlfriend on Earth.”

The highly anticipated “Breaking Bad” prequel spinoff “Better Call Saul” will premiere on AMC on Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. CT. The new series will follow Saul Goodman in the days before he worked as Walter White’s lawyer.

Four New Movies Debut On Demand


Romantic comedy “And So It Goes,” crime thriller “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” musical romance “If I Stay” and action thriller “Into the Storm” are now available through Suddenlink On Demand.

“And So It Goes” stars Michael Douglas as an obnoxious realtor whose life is turned upside-down when his estranged son appears out of the blue with his nine-year old daughter. Diane Keaton and Sterling Jerins also star.

In sequel “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” classic characters cross paths with Sin City’s more reviled inhabitants. Jessica Alba, Mickey Rourke and Josh Brolin star.

“If I Stay” chronicles a fatal car accident involving a teenage musician and her boyfriend. Chloe Grace Moretz and Mireille Enos star.

The town of Silverton is at the mercy of erratic and deadly cyclones in “Into the Storm.” Richard Armitage, Sarah Wayne Callies and Matt Walsh star.
