Among the efforts cited were programs in Amarillo, Midland and San Angelo, Texas.

Jonesboro, Ark., Team Captures Top Ops Award

For the third year in a row, CableFAX: The Magazine, a major industry trade publication, has awarded Suddenlink a Top Operators Award for a cable system community service program. Suddenlink’s Jonesboro, Ark., operation won for its eCycling program. It’s “Green Team” collects small electronic equipment items for environmentally safe disposal. Since launching in 2009, the recycling program has collected more than 40 tons of used electronic gear.

Previously, Suddenlink’s Alexandria, La., system received back-to-back awards for community service in recognition of its “Connecting to Those in Need” food drive for central Louisiana residents.
