Yesterday, Suddenlink announced that it expects to contribute more than $1 million of cable TV advertising time telling people around the country that Branson, Mo., is open for business after a tornado in late February caused extensive damage to the community. Known nationally for its music theaters and other attractions, Branson is a popular destination for vacationers.
Suddenlink officials also presented a check for $10,000 to the Community Foundation of Taney County to further support tornado relief efforts. Branson Mayor Raeanne Presley, Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Ross Summers and Taney County Board of Governors member Bill Jones attended the ceremony. The check represented contributions from the company and Suddenlink employees from Missouri and nearby states.
