Suddenlink Initiative Wins Two Beacon Awards

Suddenlink’s “Connecting to Those in Need” food drive initiative captured two 2011 Beacon Awards, which honor excellence in cable communications and public affairs.

Our Alexandria, La., team’s program won in the Best of the Best Small System Communications Efforts category for like-sized cable systems. It also took the top prize in the Community Relations category, again among similar-sized cable systems. Since its inception in 2007, the initiative has collected tons of food contributions for the Food Bank of Central Louisiana.

Previously, the community service program won consecutive Top Operators Awards from CableFAX: The Magazine, a major industry trade publication.
