Suddenlink’s Andy Parrott Wins Industry Award

Suddenlink Corporate Vice President of Technical Operations Andy Parrot was recently honored by the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) with its Excellence in Cable Telecommunications Learning and Development Award. The award recognized Andy’s work to promote tools, training, and SCTE certification to help Suddenlink improve customer satisfaction ratings.

In June 2008, Suddenlink launched Careerlink, a training and development program for the company’s technical operations staff. As a result, Suddenlink became the first major cable operator to have 100 percent of its broadband technicians with the company for at least 90 days earn one or more professional certifications from SCTE.

SCTE is a non-profit professional association that provides technical leadership for the telecommunications industry and serves its members through professional development, standards, certification and information.
