CNBC to Premiere ‘Amazon Rising’

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, has changed the way the world shops. Correspondent David Faber reports on one of the Internet’s most esteemed and feared companies in “Amazon Rising,” Sunday, June 29 at 8 p.m. CT on CNBC.

After Bezos invested his fortune in the Internet, Amazon developed into a virtual powerhouse. Today, the site has upended the publishing and retail industries, facing scrutiny along the way.

CNBC is available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service.

Some Amazon Shoppers Will Get Sunday Deliveries

Amazon and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) this weekend rolled out phase one of Sunday package delivery for the online retailer’s customers. Los Angeles and the New York City metropolitan area are the first beneficiaries, and the only markets planned in time for 2013 holiday shopping.

Expansions in 2014 announced so far include Dallas, Houston, New Orleans and Phoenix.  USA Today suggests consumers, Amazon, and the USPS will benefit from the new service.

Amazon Draws Most Visits from Online Shoppers

Newly-released Comscore data names Amazon the most visited retail site, attracting 282 million visits worldwide in the month of June. The second most popular retail site was eBay, with 223.5 million visitors. A Temkin Group survey earlier this year also named Amazon tops among online retailers in customer satisfaction.
