Three Customers Win Free VOD Movies

Yesterday we revealed “Parental Guidance” as the April Movie Madness 2013 champion.  But there is more than one winner in this competition. Customers who (a) participated in our survey and (b) correctly predicted both the championship-round movies and the ultimate victor were entered into a random drawing for three prizes.

The grand-prize winner of 24 free Suddenlink VOD movies is Arkansas-customer Steve LaVergne. The two runner-ups — each winning two free VOD movies — are Louisiana-customer Jacqueline Lightfoot and Arizona-customer Thomas Clute.

Congratulations to all of them.

And the Winner is …

“Parental Guidance” has been crowned the champion of April Movie Madness 2013, besting “This is 40” by a mere 5 orders through Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) – one of the closest margins of victory in the entire competition.

We have also drawn names from the participants who correctly predicted the championship pairing of the two movies noted above and chose “Parental Guidance” as the ultimate victor. We’re confirming eligibility now and will announce the winners soon.

One grand prize winner will receive 24 free Suddenlink VOD movies that can be watched any time between June this year and May next year. Two runner-ups will each win two free VOD movies that can be watched anytime in June or July this year .

Thanks to everyone who played along.  Follow us here, and on Facebook and Twitter, to learn more about new VOD releases and collections.

Who Will Be Crowned Our Movie Madness Champ?

This weekend’s VOD views will help determine which of the two remaining films earns our April Movie Madness championship title.  Will you be tuning in to watch either of the contenders (“This is 40″ and “Parental Guidance”)?

Whether or not you entered your Movie Madness predictions before Monday’s deadline for the chance to win free VOD movies, you can still have fun guessing which title will be crowned the winner next Tuesday by answering our  championship round  poll

Movie Madness: And Then There Were Two …

The results are in, and our VOD customers made it clear this week that they like to kick back on the couch with a good comedy or two.  Moving on to the championship round of April Movie Madness are “This is 40” (defeating “The Hobbit”) and “Parental Guidance” (crushing “Red Dawn”).

We hope you entered your predictions before last night’s deadline for the chance to win free VOD movies. If not, you can still have fun trying to guess which title will be crowned champion next Tuesday by answering today’s poll.  You won’t be eligible for the prize drawing, but feel free to enjoy bragging rights if you correctly predict the winner.

Pair Red Dawn _ Guidance

Do “Red Dawn” stars Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck and Josh Hutcherson have the chops to defeat Billy Crystal, Bette Midler and Marisa Tomei, the powerhouse leads in “Parental Guidance,” in this week’s Fabulous Four round of April Movie Madness?

According to those who’ve participated so far in our survey, the answer is a resounding “Yes.” Additionally, of the four remaining films, “Parental Guidance” is the least-predicted title to win the championship round, with only ONE vote!

Unless more votes roll in for the comedy before midnight Monday, a surprise championship victory for “Parental Guidance” would mean up to 24 free VOD movies for the sole voter who has predicted it.  To get in on the action, take our Movie Madness survey. (See official rules.)

Follow Suddenlink on Facebook and Twitter today for “Red Dawn” and “Parental Guidance” trivia.

Who Will Make the Movie Madness Finale?

It’s anyone’s guess whether comedy or fantasy will prevail in the April Movie Madness match-up of “This is 40” v. “The Hobbit.” Want to make a prediction, and possibly win free VOD movies in the process? Enter our April Movie Madness competition.  Read the contest announcement for details, and complete the entry survey before 11:59 p.m. CT, Monday, April 29.

By the way, we’ll be posting “Hobbit” and “This is 40″ trivia today on Facebook and Twitter.

Have You Entered Yet to Win Free VOD Movies?

Yesterday we announced that we’re offering customers a chance to win up to 24 free Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) movies, or an average of two free movies per month, for the next year.

It’s all part of our April Movie Madness competition.  Read the contest announcement for details, and enter before 11:59 p.m. CT, next Monday, April 29.

Drum roll: The April Movie Madness titles moving to the third round are … “This is 40” … “The Hobbit” … “Parental Guidance … and “Red Dawn.”  The first two and the last two will square off against each other to earn a chance to move on to the championship round.

And now for some even bigger news: We’re offering customers a chance to guess which of these four movies will advance to the final stages of the contest – and, if you guess correctly, you’ll be entered into a random drawing for the chance to win up to 24 free Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) movies – or an average of two free movies per month for the next year!

Here’s how it works:

  • By or before 11:59 p.m. CT next Monday, April 29, take our short, April Movie Madness Survey to register your guesses about which of the remaining movies will prevail. (No purchase required.)
  • Check back on Tuesday, April 30, to see if you correctly predicted the two movies that advance to the championship round – and on Tuesday, May 7, to see if you correctly guessed the champion.
  • If your guesses are right – about the final two and the champion – your name will be entered into a random drawing for the grand prize or one of two runner-up prizes.

The grand prize winner will enjoy 24 free Suddenlink VOD movies that can be watched any time between June this year and May next year. The two runner-up prize winners will each receive two free Suddenlink VOD movies that can be watched anytime in June or July this year.

Please see the official rules and regulations for additional information.

For those just joining the fun, our original, 16-movie bracket was unveiled on April 9, reflecting March’s most-purchased Suddenlink Video on Demand (VOD) movies. Each Tuesday since then, we’ve announced the movies from each pairing that were the most purchased through Suddenlink VOD in the preceding week, with the best performers advancing to subsequent rounds.
