Scam Warning

Did you hear the one about the President approving $1,000 to help you pay utility bills? It’s not true, of course; it’s only the latest in a string of scams designed to steal social security, credit card, and bank routing numbers.

The Better Business Bureau posted an alert about this particular scam on May 30. And news organizations around the country have been reporting on it, as the scam starts to affect local residents. Here’s one recent example from Northeast Ohio.

For our part, Suddenlink will never call or email customers, asking for this type of information. The only time such information might be requested is when customers contact us about their accounts.
