Suddenlink Completes Arkansas Fiber Project

Suddenlink has completed a nearly $4-million dollar project to install a new 162-mile fiber-optic network serving its Arkansas customers. Construction began in March 2010.

The new Suddenlink-operated network connects with the company’s national network and will make its services in Arkansas even more reliable and less dependent on other carriers.

The new network also will enhance Suddenlink’s ability to introduce improved video and high-speed Internet services, and give the company options to re-route network services in cases where lines might be damaged or other carriers might experience equipment failures, thus helping prevent service outages.
