Poll Results: Keep Teaching Kids Cursive

Earlier this week, we asked FYI readers if, in this age of constant keyboarding, it is necessary to preserve the art of cursive handwriting. An overwhelming majority of respondents indicated that children should still learn to pen those loopy letters.

Neuroplasticity expert Dr. Norman Doidge agrees, predicting if children don’t learn cursive, their brains “will develop in a different way that no one has really thought through.”
