Online Holiday Sales Approach $25 Billion

According to a report in Forbes magazine, online holiday shopping continues to gain popularity. For the second consecutive week, cyber shoppers spent $5.9 billion. Online commerce for the first 39 days of the November-December holiday season reached $24.6 billion, a 15 percent increase over the same period in 2010.

To date, “Cyber Monday” 2011 holds the title of heaviest online spending day in history at $1.25 billion.
