ESPN Covering Wimbledon on Many Platforms

As the 125th Wimbledon tennis tournament gets under way today, ESPN, the tourney’s main U.S. media rights holder, begins serving up extensive coverage that will encompass a host of platforms. Multichannel News summarizes how ESPN will cover tennis’ most prestigious event via ESPN2, ESPN HD, ESPN3.com, ESPN Mobile and ESPN Interactive.

ESPN2 and its ESPN HD will have 100 hours of coverage over the tournament’s two-week run. Broadband service ESPN3.com will provide nearly 650 hours of coverage.

ESPN2 is available to virtually all Suddenlink customers who have what is commonly known as Expanded Basic TV service. Suddenlink Internet customers can access ESPN3.com for no charge from any computer connected to Suddenlink Internet service. They can also access ESPN3.com from the Suddenlink.net home page.
