‘Gettysburg’ Kicks Off Civil War Week on History

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War, the History Channel is offering week-long programming dedicated to the subject. Civil War Week begins on Memorial Day, May 30, with “Gettysburg,” a two-hour documentary examining the tragic battle. Scheduled for May 31 is another two-hour special, “Lee & Grant,” which will look at the iconic generals who helped determine the war’s outcome.

History will fill the rest of the week with Civil War-themed episodes of “Pawn Stars,” “American Pickers,” and other specials.
