C-SPAN Video Library Wins Peabody Award

The recently launched C‑SPAN Video Library has been named a Peabody Award winner. The library allows users to view and share program archives that have aired on C-SPAN since 1987.

C‑SPAN was created by the cable television industry to provide public access to the political process. Its operations are funded by affiliates that carry C-SPAN programming.

Peabody awards, established in 1940, recognize achievement and public service in electronic media.
