ESPN Study Finds Scant Evidence of ‘Cord Cutting’

A recent ESPN study suggests the issue of “cord cutting” — canceling TV service for Web-based videos — was “miniscule” last quarter and offset by the number of new households that subscribed to mutltichannel TV and broadband services.

An earlier ESPN study showed that while Internet video viewing was on the rise, TV viewing also continued to increase, and that online viewers tend to be heavy TV viewers.
