USA Network, History Channel Pull in Viewers

After a fourth quarter dominated by televised sporting events, USA Network is back in its familiar spot as the number one cable channel. Nielsen figures reported in AdWeek show USA Network capturing the greatest number of last week’s total prime time cable viewers — 3.15 million of them per night, on average — thanks mostly to the network’s original programming, including “Royal Pains” and “Fairly Legal,” and to loyal fans of World Wrestling Entertainment’s “Raw.”

Monday night, however, belonged to History Channel, whose reality series “Pawn Stars” and “American Pickers” each attracted network record viewership, with an estimated 7 million and 6.2 million viewers, respectively, according to Multichannel News.
