Mississippi Fiber-Optic Network Project Completed

Suddenlink today completed a project that installed a new fiber-optic network serving its Greenville and Greenwood, Miss., customers. Costing more than a half million dollars, the new Suddenlink-operated network connects with the company’s national network and will make its services in Mississippi more reliable and less dependent on other carriers.

The new network will also enhance Suddenlink’s ability to introduce improved TV and high-speed Internet services, while giving the company options to re-route services in the rare situations where lines might be damaged or other carriers might experience equipment failures, thus helping prevent service outages.

Last year, Suddenlink acquired Windjammer Communications’ cable system serving customers in Greenwood and surrounding areas.
