North Carolina Region Supporting Salvation Army

During the holiday season, Suddenlink’s North Carolina Region is serving as food drive media sponsor for five Salvation Army Corps in eastern North Carolina. Five area Salvation Corps, headquartered in Greenville, New Bern, Rocky Mount, Kinston and Washington, are collecting canned and non-perishable goods at participating Suddenlink locations until Dec. 24. Donated items will be distributed to individuals and families in a 13-county area who meet the Salvation Army’s criteria for need.

Television promotion of the food drive began Dec. 1 on Suddenlink’s cable channel in eastern North Carolina. The commercial features television personality and sportscaster Jeff Charles.

“The Salvation Army is grateful Suddenlink Communications has offered to serve as media sponsor and partner with us to provide nutritious food to those in need this holiday season,” said Captain Jonathan Gainey, commanding officer of the New Bern Corps.

“Suddenlink is pleased to be the media sponsor for the Salvation Army this year and to join them and our other partners in helping to combat hunger for those in need this holiday season,” said Senior Vice President of North Carolina Region Operations Phil Ahlschlager.
