Suddenlink Co-hosting Jonesboro Recycles Week

Suddenlink and the Health/Wellness and Environmental Studies Magnet School in Jonesboro, Ark., are teaming again this year to commemorate Jonesboro Recycles Week. They will be holding an e-Cycling Day at the school Friday, Nov. 12, to help local residents recycle electronics equipment. Suddenlink’s mobile e-Cycling trailer will be at the school to collect used computers, stereos, telephones, iPods, VCRs, DVD players and televisions. In 2009, Suddenlink initiated an eCycling program to help Jonesboro residents properly dispose of electronic equipment. To date, that award-winning program has collected more than 50,000 pounds of electronic equipment that has been properly recycled. In addition, Suddenlink recently introduced its new eCycling mobile trailer that will make it more convenient for area residents to drop off recyclable electronic equipment at Suddenlink’s retail store or when the trailer travels to events around the community.

Another goal of “Jonesboro Recycles Week” is to focus attention on a national program, America Recycles Day, scheduled for Monday, Nov. 15.

Suddenlink has contributed to e-cycling efforts in a number of other communities, including Russellville, Ark., and Truckee, Calif.
