TBS Scoring With Yankees-Rangers Series

TBS coverage of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) between the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers is proving a ratings hit. Multichannel News reports that TBS averaged a 4.3 U.S. household rating and 6.97 million viewers for the first two ALCS games, which the teams split. It’s the best two-game average for the LCS since TBS gained the rights to the games in 2007, improving 21 percent from the 5.8 million viewers for last year’s first two NLCS games.

Coverage of the Yankees-Rangers series resumes tonight on TBS as the series shifts to Yankee Stadium. Games four and five are set for Tuesday and Wednesday. If necessary, games six and seven will be played Friday and Saturday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

The National League Championship Series (NLCS) between the Philadelphia Phillies and San Francisco Giants, also tied at one game apiece, resumes Tuesday afternoon in San Francisco. Fox is carrying all NLCS games.
