Fort Sill, Okla., Gets New HD Channels, DVRs

Today in Fort Sill, Okla., we launched a package of new high-definition (HD) TV channels and began offering digital video recorders (DVRs).

The new HD channels include the broadcast TV channels from Wichita Falls, Texas, KFDX HD (NBC), KJTL HD (Fox) and KAUZ HD (CBS); Lawton station KSWO HD (ABC); and Oklahoma City’s KETA HD (PBS). Other new HD Channels include: USA HD, TNT HD, Fox Sports Oklahoma HD, ESPN HD, ESPN2 HD, Lifetime HD, Arts & Entertainment HD, Food Network HD, Home & Garden Television HD, FX HD, TBS HD, AMC HD, Disney HD, History Channel HD, National Geographic HD and Travel Channel HD.

DVRs let viewers pause live TV programs and resume viewing later, record up to 30 hours of programming, and record one show while watching another one.

These upgrades were made possible by Project Imagine, our ongoing capital investment program, which is also funding another initiative in Fort Sill, namely: the process of converting the entire channel lineup to digital format, with superior picture and sound quality.

We will continue to announce launches of new and enhanced services in other communities as they are confirmed.
