Well, we’re not out of the woods quite yet. Galaxy 15 is now drifting toward another commercial satellite, and could interfere with that satellite’s transmission of signals for several popular cable networks. As before, this situation applies to many more companies than just Suddenlink.
We’re told the risk of interference will likely run from May 20 (this Thursday) through June 7, with the greatest risk in the May 31 to June 1 time frame. We’re in close contact with both the affected cable networks and our field staff regarding this situation, sharing alternative satellites and their coordinates should any interference be detected. Our goal, as always, is to minimize any potential impact on our customers.
