WICT-Texas Awards for Suddenlink Managers

The Greater Texas Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) has announced the winners of their 2009 Lone Star Awards. Two of the six awards will go to Suddenlink managers.

Director of Training and Development Minnie Hardcastle, Tyler, will receive the organization’s “North Star Advocate Award,” presented to a man or woman with a track record of devoting time and resources to the personal and professional development of others within the cable telecommunications industry.

Vice President of Operations Aimee Doane, Lubbock, will receive the “Shining Star Woman to Watch Award,” given to a woman with a consistent record of success, leadership, and job excellence at the middle- or senior-management level. (Vice President of Accounting Sabrina Warr, Tyler, received the Shining Star Award in 2008.)

These awards will be presented May 19 at the Chapter’s Awards Gala.

WICT is the oldest and largest organization serving women professionals in cable telecommunications. For 30 years, the organizations has sought to advance the position and influence of women through leadership programs and related services.
